Fly Fishing Art

I recently picked up fly fishing and found it a complex and challenging activity that took me a year to catch a few trout.

After learning the techniques, I decided to try tying my flies. I spent a lot of time researching and sketching plans for new flies and experimenting until I had an artistic breakthrough. While on a plane, I used Procreate to represent my creations digitally.

This digital representation of my fly designs reflected the complexities of nature and blurred the lines between design, art, and the peacefulness of fly fishing. It introduced a new mode of expression that I am excited to explore further and reminded me of James Audubon's work, which I loved as a child.

When fishing, I only do catch and release and have been careful, especially with trout.
